NSDL’s Trusted e-Voting System
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has entrusted NSDL with establishing an electronic platform, facilitating members/shareholders to cast their votes electronically. Here’s a look at NSDL’s voting system:
Numerous voting options: Companies can employ NSDL’s e-Voting Portal, SPEED-e Mobile App, IDeAS and SPEED-e facility to have their shareholders vote online. Shareholder’s have multiple options to vote of resolutions of companies through their depository login via single sign on facility (IDeAS). NSDL’s SPEED-e Mobile App can be used for voting on resolutions of companies. Shareholders can also vote through NSDL e-Voting website using their login credentials/OTP based login which will facilitate the shareholders to caste vote without registering on IDeAS. Individual shareholders holding securities in demat mode can login through their DP to take part in the voting process.
Device-enabled voting: NSDL’s voting system not only enables remote e-voting but also assists companies in offering electronic voting options at meeting venues through portable devices such as tablets.
Certificate: NSDL’s e-Voting system is certified by the Standardization Testing and Quality Certification (STQC) Directorate.
Support for virtual meetings: NSDL also supports companies in conducting virtual meetings and live streaming the proceedings.

NSDL’s e-voting system is accessible for any company aiming to enable e-voting. It accommodates all shareholders, whether they hold shares in demat form with NSDL or other depositories or possess physical share certificates. Also, NSDL's e-voting system supports entities seeking to offer the e-voting facility to their members, such as clubs or other organisations.
